Many of you know I write for Substack. In case you don’t know what Substack is…here you are!

• An online journalism site, and much more…

• A site for “for-free” subscribers (many millions) and for “paid” subscribers (a few million).

• A “paid” subscription starts at US$5.00 per month or US$50.00 per year (or, if the reader prefers, more.)

(Note: How does Substack itself make money? For every paid subscription, the company takes a 10% commission fee. The payment provider to Substack writers (i.e. Stripe) also takes 2.9% + 30 cents per payment. The rest goes to the writer on a regular basis.)
