About “Terence Clarke: Recovering The Arts”

Politics are an overcrowded field. Although they interest me personally, I’ll write about them only occasionally.

“Terence Clarke: Recovering The Arts” is a column about the arts and culture that still exist outside market-driven corporate taste, outside the tech industry’s version of “the arts” (enabled by AI instead of by someone like Mary Cassatt), and outside what I see as the contemporary abandonment of the classic arts. I’ll write about books of all sorts, the graphic arts, movies, dance, the opera, music of all kinds…in other words, whatever is intended to move the soul and mind…and moves mine.

A subscription to my Substack work is free. Readers can opt to pay for a subscription as well, which will help considerably with my wish to keep this endeavor going. It’s the reader’s call.
